Fanbirds originated in Russia and Eastern Europe as a traditional decoration hung in the home that catches gentle breezes and so draws the eye too.
They are made from a single piece of wood using simple hand tools only. It needs a steady hand and steadier nerves when it comes to opening your birds wings to reveal your creation. Come and try your hand at making these lovely creatures
The course runs for 3 hours at The sessions take place at Clara Vale Village Hall, Clara Vale, Tyne and Wear, NE40 3SY and runs between 1pm and 4pm.
Refreshments will be available throughout the afternoon.
