Turned from Beechwood from Tynedale in Northumberland where I live.
It was made on my bowl lathe, a traditional way of turning wood going back around 2000 years in Britain, which is entirely human leg powered.
It will make a beautiful centre piece on your kitchen table at mealtimes with its warm colours and patterns.
It is 9.5" wide and 2.5" deep. The yellow band is a food safe milk paint, and the bowl is finished with beeswax and walnut oil.
Wash in warm soapy water, not dishwasher safe.
