Shrink pots are a clever Scandinavian technique for making containers. A freshly cut birch log is hollowed out, a groove cut for the base at the bottom and as this dries it shrinks onto the base and makes it a tight fit. Then a lid is made and the pot decorated.

These lovely jewelry boxes stand 5.5cm tall, 7.5cm with the handle, and are decorated with traditional milk paints. The lids are a simple twist fit to open and close them.

They will make a beautiful addition to your home.
