Handmade Beechwood Eating Spoon.
From a Beech tree felled in Tynedale, Northumberland. This lovely handcarved wooden spoon is light and sits comfortably in the hand.
A lovely piece to use every day. It will develop its own patina over the years as it becomes a part of your life.
Each spoon is individually made and there will never be another one quite like it.
This one is decorasted with a basket weave 'Kolrosing' pattern, made by a traditional technique of etching finely ground powder, in this case coffee, into the wood then sealing it with oil.
It is finished with Walnut oil.
The spoon is 6 inches (15cm) long, and 2 inches (5cm) wide.
Wash gently in warm water, do not leave it soaking in water or wash in dishwasher.
