Ash Wood Bowl
This was turned from a beautiful piece of Ash Wood from the Tyne Valley in Northumberland where I live. The heart wood is a deep chocolate while the sap wood is a gorgeous golden colour.
It was turned on my bowl lathe, a human powered lathe, using techniques going back almost 2000 years in Britain.
It is suitable as a breakfast bowl, for soups and stews or for salads in the centre of your table.
The bowl is 7.5" (20cm) wide and 2.25" (6cm) deep
It is finished with Walnut Oil and Beeswax
Wash in warm soapy water, not dishwasher safe.
